FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 23, 2012 - Spillson's LTD. is recalling the 4 ounce Texas BBQ Beef sandwiches because they contain an undeclared soy flour and wheat flour. People who have an allergy to soy or wheat run the risk of a serious or life threatening reaction if they consume this product There have been no reports of any illnesses associated with this product.

The product was sold in Monroe, MI at various convenience stores and will contain a best by date between July 20, 2012 and August 3, 2012. The item is wrapped in clear plastic with a white label located on the front of the sandwich.

The recall was initiated after a review of the label showed that these ingredients were missing and the allergens were not stated.

On July 20, 2012 all labels were reviewed and updated to include all allergens.

Customers in possession of the Spillson's 4 ounce Texas BBQ Beef sandwiches are asked to return the product to Spillson's directly for a refund or call 734-242-8700 Monday-Friday 9-3pm with any questions or concerns.
