FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 15, 2012 - Truitt Bros., Inc. of Salem, Oregon is voluntary recalling 15oz Premium Navy Beans, because it may contain undeclared soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled product, 15oz Premium Navy Beans was distributed in Oregon, Washington and Northern California through retail stores between December 1, 2011 and June 15, 2012.

There have been no illnesses reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a chili like product containing soy was labeled and distributed as Premium Navy Beans. Subsequent investigation indicates that the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s inventory tagging and labeling processes.
Consumers who have purchased Truitt Brothers 15oz Premium Navy Beans are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 503-362-3674, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday.
