FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 8, 2012 - Vaquería Tres Monjitas is initiating a voluntary recall of the juice beverage with pinneaple-guava flavor (guava-piña) in all the pack sizes available in the market. The product has been recalled because it may contain sodium caseinate, a milk derivative, that it is not declared in the label as required by the Food and Drug Administration. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to this ingredient run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume the product. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The product is available in plastic containers of the following sizes: 8 oz, 14 oz, 32 oz, 64 oz & 128 oz. Once the labels are corrected the product will be available for sale again.
